San Miguel Yamamura Australasia (SMYA) is an established leader in packaging and contract wine filling in Australia and New Zealand. SMYA, a collective packaging specialist, is composed of its key group members: COSPAK, Vinocor, JMP Retail, and SANECTOR. SANECTOR is a dynamic organisation providing the Australian wine and beverage industries a comprehensive range of services relating to bottling, packaging, warehousing, and distribution. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Cellar Hand to join our Mildura team. This is a full-time, permanent role working on a rotating roster: Morning (8am–4pm) and Afternoon (4pm–12am) shifts. This is your chance to join a busy, hands-on team and be part of every stage of our beverage and production process. Responsibilities: Handling and caring for our wines daily Blending of beverages in preparation for our bottling team Managing bulk wine unloading, transfers, blends, and additions Maintaining cellar hygiene and equipment Quality control of bulk wine and beverages Recording data and completing documentation Cleaning and sanitising tanks and equipment Protecting stock integrity in line with Good Manufacturing Practice Pitching in with other duties as needed Requirements: Previous winery or vintage experience (highly regarded, but training provided) Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising detail A true team player – flexible, reliable, and willing to roll up your sleeves Full working rights (no restrictions) Physical fitness (able to lift up to 20kg) Strong attention to detail and self-motivation Initiative with a willingness to learn Great teamwork and communication skills Solid housekeeping and organisation skills Why join us?
